Seattle’s highly talented workforce attracts a multitude of corporations whom settle in the region. According to the US Census 56 percent of Seattle residents over the age of twenty five hold a B.A. or higher. It is no wonder that Centrify Corporation, a leader in cloud computing, security, and mobile applications, is opening a new office in Bellevue.
The successful firm reinforces and strengthens Greater Seattle’s international ties. Centrify is based out of California, with two international locations. Their Australian office serves the Asia Pacific region and their offices in Bracknell, United Kingdom serve the greater European Union. In late 2011, they opened a second European office in Munich, Germany. The company has partnerships with other technology firms, including Amazon, Microsoft, VMware, McAfee, Apple, IBM, and Oracle. Centrify received $16M in financing from Index Ventures in August of 2011. The company increased the number of employees by 50 percent in 2010 and continues to expand.
“Looking to 2012, with major shifts including cloud adoption and ‘bring-your-own- device’ trends altering the economics of enterprise IT, Centrify will deliver a new set of software and services to address these new sets of security challenges which are emerging” said CEO Tom Kemp in a press release earlier this year.
Centrify delivers integrated software and cloud-based solutions that centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems, mobile devices and applications by leveraging the infrastructure organizations already own. From the data center and into the cloud, more than 4000 organizations, including over 40% of the Fortune 50, rely on Centrify’s identity consolidation and privilege management solutions to reduce IT expenses, strengthen security and meet compliance requirements.
