
Guðmundur Árni Stefánsson, Iceland’s Ambassador to the United States, makes opening announcements to the crowd. Last Wednesday the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Seattle Parks & Recreation celebrated the opening of “Borders” in Westlake Park, an art exhibition created by Icelandic Artist Steinunn Thorarinsdottir. Also in attendance was Iceland Ambassador, Mr. Guðmundur Árni Stefánsson; Seattle Deputy Mayor, Mr. Darryl Smith; and Seattle Councilmember, Mr. Tom Rasmussen.
The capitol of Iceland, Reykjavik, is a sister city of Seattle. The exhibition will be in Westlake Park until the fall of 2012.
