Spanish Aerospace Firm Landing in Everett

MTorres Industriales S.A.U, a Spanish Aerospace company based in Pamplona, announced at the Paris Air Show that Pacifica Engineering will open a new assembly facility in Everett in July. MTorres invested in Bothell’s Pacifica Engineering Inc. in September of 2012. At the time, the acquisition of Pacifica acted as fuel for MTorres’ already steady expansion, but more importantly presented a greater ability for the company to service U.S. markets. In February MTorres moved their U.S. Headquarters to the Bothell Pacifica offices, and have now announced the opening of the integration and assembly facility. The new plant will allow them to do all of the large scale work they complete in Spain right here in Washington State.

Pacifica’s long running success in the aerospace sector and recognition as Boeing’s Performance Excellence award winner for the last four years deemed them the perfect candidate to support MTorres’ goals for expansion into North America. The combined efforts of these companies and their personnel will have a huge impact on the reach of product offering for both parties. The new space will allow them to cover nearly any aerospace manufacturing and assembly requirements. Governor Inslee congratulated both companies on the announcement and described the expansion as supporting evidence of the “quality and competitiveness of Washington State’s aerospace sector.”
